Became involved in rallying in 1996 then more seriously in 2000 when I joined
Dukeries MC. Having marshalled and done 86 radio and worked my way through the ranks to stage commander and chief
marshal roles within the club and on events, I decided in 2001 that I wanted to start competing so built the Nova with
a friend - Marcus - and started competing with myself driving and Marcus codriving and vice versa during 2002 then
took the car on myself at the end of the season. 2003 started well with a class win on the 1st event in March but
engine failure during the 'shakedown' event at MIRA caused a few headaches. Met Sean last year when I visited the Rally
Carnival as a spectator, became good friends and I asked him if he'd codrive for me as I thoroughly enjoyed the Carnival
experience and wanted to be doing it.

My introduction to the Barbadian rally scene and rallying in general, was an 11th hour call by
Antonio Rodriquez (see below), to help with rally control for the Texaco rally (1998). I spectated at various other
events, but continued to work Rally control for the Texaco rally and finally in 2002 got to see the event for the first
time. That same year, Paul enquired on a British rally internet forum about the Carnival, and after a number of emails,
Paul and I met when he came down to watch the events of the Carnival. Paul decided after seeing the event in 2002 that
he wanted to participate in 2003 and asked if I wanted to Codrive for him. It would of been my first time Navigating a
event, but Nicholas Gill needing a temporary nav, gave me some seat time (Thanks Nick) on the BRC's first stages rally
of 2003.
